When you wrap a gift in Givewrap you Give Twice. You give a gift to someone you know, and you give a donation to someone in need. Australian based company Givewrap asked Hand-inc to create four different designs they could use to expand their range of wrapping papers and to appeal to a broad audience. The brief was wide and celebratory. The main objective was to create designs that bring joy.

Cherry Blossom, ideal for mother's day
The cherry blossom design was created using layers of screen-printing in translucent inks. Each intensity of pink was loosely mixed on the screen to create the soft colours. Fine gentle line work of the branches gives the inpression of looking up through the branches to the spring blue sky above.

Nostalgic jellies and icecream
The jellies and icecream print is a nostalgic trip back to children's parties with brightly coloured jellies, some with fruit pieces trapped inside and a pink blancmange cat – the classic mould of many parents.

The Christmas design needed to stand out in a crouded market place and be distinctively Givewrap. As the company first launched in Australia it also needed to appeal to customers having a warmer Christmas but still have some of the traditional imagery we are all so familiar with.
